Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Marketing Data Analyst Position Number: S-3126 Type of Recruitment: External Position Summary: The Marketing Data Analyst will assimilate and analyze data from multiple sources to provide insights that contribute to the development of short- and long-term marketing strategies. This individual will evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns from top- to down-funnel performance, provide critical data and dashboards for optimization of advertising campaigns, and create and maintain reporting mechanisms for university partners. Additionally, the marketing data analyst will assist in the technical implementation of advertising campaigns by supplying lists and UTM data and maintaining ad account access for staff and partners. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree, preferably in marketing, data science, business analytics or related field.

One year of relevant experience. Proven marketing data analysis and data visualization skills. Experience working with a web analytics platform such as Google Analytics. Data visualization experience.

Strong understanding of common marketing metrics and the application thereof in driving actionable insights. Demonstrated experience implementing and analyzing tracking tags, clickstream data or related metrics to drive business growth. Experience conducting environmental scans to identify business opportunities. Demonstrated ability to derive actionable insights from multiple data points.

Demonstrated ability to communicate data and insights through excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills to plan, set priorities and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Google analytics and Google Data Studio certified. Google Ads, Google Ad Manager.

Hub Spots Inbound Certification, Hub Spots Social Media Marketing Certification. Facebook Blueprint. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and related systems. Duties & Responsibilities: Serve as Integrated Marketings team lead on analytics and metrics, managing of all reporting cadence, execution and delivery. Assimilate data from multiple sources for the development, evaluation, and optimization of marketing and advertising strategies. Support advertising campaigns from a technical perspective, maintaining ad account access, UTM data and providing targeting lists.

Review rankings methodology for inclusion on site. Create and maintain dashboards that provide relevant and actionable feedback for marketing team. Provide reports for program directors, and university leadership on consistent cadence. Serve as second administrator in CMUs instance of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, pulling data, running reports, addressing account permissions and setting up and testing tags and triggers for events and conversion tracking.

Maintain and optimize campaign measurement strategies using tracking tags and other appropriate tools. Collaborate with UComm members to determine KPIs for assessing campaign effectiveness, maintaining a dashboard for monitoring campaign performance. Regularly generate ad hoc reports on campaign performance and other related marketing and enrollment metrics for leadership. Champion the use of data in the decision-making process, helping university stakeholders to understand not only what the numbers are but what they mean.

Identify and report on key trends, conversion metrics, and other key data points that contribute to enrollment growth. Conduct marketing and competitive analyses for new and existing academic programs. Pull data from different university sources to understand better return on ad spend and down funnel performance. Review secondary research, monitor trends, and recommend/implement new strategies or enhancements to existing campaigns.
