Job Overview The Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications is responsible for coordinating marketing activities across the school and for leading new marketing initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the central ‘brand’ marketing efforts, including campaigns related to top-of-funnel degree marketing, as well as new efforts for the Career, External Relations, Undergraduate Program, and other teams – in collaboration with the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Work with the Steers Center for Global Real Estate to develop a strategy for elevating the Steers brand; recruiting students to both the M.S. in Global Real Assets and MBA Certificate in Real Estate; and executing the plan throughout the recruitment cycle Assist the Graduate and Executive Degree Program Admissions team with content marketing efforts; and work with all of the admissions teams on broader initiatives that could be implemented across programs. Educate internal stakeholders regarding consistent brand messaging Coordinate with Marketing and Communications colleagues to integrate marketing activities Coordinate centrally-organized marketing activities, such as photo shoots and video production for paid advertising efforts Provide expertise on current and emerging marketing trends, best practices, and technologies Work Interactions Reporting to MSB’s Associate Dean and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, the Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications collaborates across the school’s degree programs and faculty-led centers and initiatives to ensure brand consistency. They work closely with the other McDonough communicators and across the university on special projects; engage regularly with both internal and external partners, coordinating the efforts of the school’s numerous advertising/marketing agencies, including DMI (brand marketing and graduate admissions), Wiley (graduate admissions), Fuse (Steers Center for Global Real Estate), Grafik (rebranding initiative); and work with Georgetown’s undergraduate Admissions team as they engage with our programs.

While each program has responsibility for its own strategy and engagement, the Director ensures each campaign aligns with the broader McDonough visual identity and messaging, and serves as a point of contact to share best practices across programs. Internal interactions include meeting regularly with marketing stakeholders to review plans, resolve challenges, and provide ongoing assistance to ensure that teams set and consistently achieve their marketing goals. The Director also supervises the Associate Director of Digital Marketing and Analytics, whose primary area of responsibility is the school’s flagship website. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Marketing professional with 6 to 8 years of experience managing brand or product marketing – preferably within higher education and working with external agencies Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with marketing analytics tools Work Mode: Hybrid.
