Singapore, Singapore, Business Function: Group Strategic Marketing & Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital communications, marketing and research to differentiate – and elevate – our brand from the rest of the competition. Job Purpose: DBS Bank, the first bank to hold three world’s best bank titles at the same time, and the creator of the award-winning Sparks mini-series, is looking for a Content Strategist to join its Group Strategic Marketing & Communications (GSMC) team. A core member of GSMC’s Content Team, the Content Strategist Sustainability is responsible for conceptualising, designing and executing content marketing experiences across social media, websites and internal communications channels that shape perceptions about the brand around sustainability related topics, as well as DBS supported businesses for impact.
Well-versed in digital media production, with an intimate understanding of how marketing campaigns are brought to life through storytelling from ideation, to publishing, to amplification, the Content Strategist will work closely with the dedicated in-house production studio, external agencies and other business unit stakeholders. Responsibilities: Work closely with other teams within GSMC and the bank, crafting complex content marketing strategies that span across a wide range of communications touchpoints Delivering the right composition of editorial, creative and amplification components will be key to tell impactful stories about sustainability and businesses for impact Drive projects with an investigative journalist approach and a social-first treatment in order to produce weekly content formats with engaging storytelling that accelerate audience growth Use data-driven insights to improve content publishing processes and copywriting for social media and paid amplification assets Script and produce/present sharable and engaging videos on company events, activation campaigns and outreach initiatives. Conduct interviews and translate DBS story experiences in ways that are interactive, entertaining, and educational Drive content innovation by finding ways to tell stories more creatively, explore and experiment with new communication tools, content formats and channels. Ensuring quality and consistency in materials produced and published Requirements: Diploma qualifications from polytechnics/ film & media/ advertising/marketing institutes.
Candidates with Degree in Journalism or Digital Broadcast Media is a plus 5 – 7 years’ experience in a news, broadcasting, online publishing or other digital media. Newsroom experience or previous in-house content strategist role a plus Proven work experience and skills in end-to-end creative video production – from script to deliverables Excellent project and stakeholder management skills Video portfolio that showcases your interview skills and hosting style Strong sense of ownership of results Passionate about and skillful in delivering engaging and relatable visual storytelling through video that speak directly to viewers/reader
