Within the Global Marketing function sits the Asset Management Marketing team, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies and programs for the entirety of the business. Working across public markets, alternative and external investing strategies, the team leads messaging strategy, content creation, digital marketing, and marketing analytics. A new Global Head of Marketing for Asset Management joined in early 2022. Role Summary This Associate will play a key role within the Asset Management Marketing (AM Marketing) team, working with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of AM Marketing and the broader AM Marketing leadership team to facilitate efficient processes and provide the highest quality information to quantify the team’s commercial value-add.
The Associate has a broad-ranging, dynamic mandate which depends on the business needs at any one time. Responsibilities include aligning data alongside budget management and reconciliation to monitor and assess MROI; driving initiatives to ensure efficiency and information sharing across the team; designing and managing marketing processes to enhance executional consistency; executing processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements; and partnering in the development of the global marketing strategy. Position Responsibilities Budget management and reconciliation: Partner with marketing teams, vendors, and finance to track quarterly budget requirements, monitor committed spend, reconcile to agreed contracts as well as finance data, and manage any relevant accruals. Marketing processes: Work with AM Marketing team members to develop and maintain all necessary procedures across the global functions.
Efficiency and information sharing: Maintain a centralized log of marketing activity to assess forward calendar and determine team productivity. Strategy: Work with the AM Marketing COO to research, develop and create an evidence-based global marketing strategy materials which support business objectives. Risk management: Manage adherence to firmwide requirements for Compliance, Risk and Control procedures. Team connectivity: Take an active role in the Global marketing team, adopting a collaborative approach, sharing best practices, being involved in programs outside primary region as relevant and contributing to the overall success of this key global segment.
Partnership and collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with other AM Marketing colleagues, Global Marketing partners and divisional colleagues. Qualifications 3+ years in a similar role within a similar leading financial institution with an outstanding track record with measurable impacts and achievements Well-developed data management capabilities with commercial awareness and business acumen (experience in Microsoft Excel and SmartSheet) Extremely strong presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint) design and execution skills, including alignment to templates and standards Ability to present data and analysis in a thoughtful and well-reasoned manner, synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story Demonstrable track record of working effectively across matrixed, complex organizations with excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills as well as the ability to engage with partners at all levels Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
